The Mallyan Spout is a charming 3 star Country House Hotel offering high standards of service together with luxury accommodation.
The Hotel is located directly opposite the Parish Church at the quiet end of the village overlooking open moorland and wonderful views of the Esk Valley.
Goathland is internationally known as "Aidensfield" in the popular TV drama "Heartbeat", which is still regularly filmed in the village.
The surrounding Moorland together with The Mallyan Spout Waterfall offer fabulous opportunities for walking. In addition we have The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway that can take you through the village and beyond.
The hotel has 20 luxurious en-suite bedrooms – all rooms are individually decorated and have views of either the village church, the hotel gardens, or the Esk Valley, and have direct dial telephone and hospitality tray.
The Mallyan Spout Hotel has a strict No Smoking Policy throughout.
The hotel is also an ideal venue for meetings, conferences, functions and weddings. We have 2 small meeting rooms, which will accommodate up to 15 delegates for meetings and private dinners, whilst our main hotel restaurant, which overlooks the hotel gardens, will accommodate up to 70 people for private functions and weddings.

Enjoy a 4-course candlelit dinner in ‘The Valley’ Restaurant which has delightful views over the hotel gardens and beyond out over the Esk Valley.
Guests can also enjoy homemade fayre from our Bar Menu, which is served in the Public Bar, Residents Bar and Hotel Lounges. Alternatively just enjoy a quiet drink or two in our licensed bars.
Private Functions/Wedding

The Mallyan Spout is conveniently located for some of Yorkshires finest attractions. We are within easy driving distance of Whitby, the historic market town of Pickering, York, Castle Howard, Helmsley and Duncombe Park, Eden Camp, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Langdale Quest, the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough and many other activities such as golf, walking, hiking and cycling.
